About
UBU Kundalini Yoga began in 2021 at a confluence of two influences: Mystical Poetry and Kundalini Yoga. Gian Navjeet had been studying with poet Ariana Reines, sharing a teacher in Guru Jagat. He had been working on a book that used tratrak meditations to "download" poetry from the ethers. He decided to take a related teacher training course through the RAMA Institute to learn more—the intention was not to become a Kundalini Teacher. However, after the training, the transmission of the lineage was so strong that Gian Navjeet decided to start teaching and was allowed to launch his classes before Reines' Invisible College Saturday Sessions. Though the online school began with the intention to work primarily with artists, it has become an online and sometimes in-person Kundalini Yoga Studio that strives to teach the pure teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Gian Navjeet has worked privately with Harmanjot Kaur since 2021, attended numerous teacher trainings, taken myriad classes with Tej Khalsa, and actively works to study the archives of Yogi Bhajan's teachings. Additionally, he holds an MFA in poetry from Northern Arizona and is working on a Ph.D. in poetry at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
At UBU Kundalini Yoga, we are committed to delivering transformative Kundalini Yoga teachings, complemented by insights from my journey as a poet deeply engaged with mystical poetry. While many of our students are artists, individuals from all walks of life join our close-knit and deeply devotional community to grow spiritually and personally. Whether you're seeking public classes that challenge and elevate or personalized coaching tailored to artists, Gian Navjeet guides each student with a focus on personal and artistic development through the principles of Kundalini Yoga.
